Frequently Asked Questions
This FAQs page is designed to answer your most pressing questions about home care for seniors.
Feel free to browse through the questions below. We’re here to empower you to make informed decisions about home care for seniors.
Are your Caregivers bonded and insured?
Yes! All Sencura Caregivers are bonded and insured. In addition, each undergoes a criminal background check, personality profile testing, and reference checks. We ensure we provide you with dependable, caring professionals.
How do you select your Caregivers?
Sencura is committed to choosing compassionate caregivers who we would trust to care for our own family and loved ones. We hire qualified, reliable, honest and respectful caregivers who genuinely enjoy helping seniors and people with disabilities. Before we hire, each one must pass a criminal background check, personality profile testing and a detailed screening process before we even consider them as a candidate. Once we bring them on board, caregivers complete our extensive company orientation and training program.
Will I have a choice in Caregivers?
Yes! Our experienced staffing coordinators will make an informed decision regarding a compatible caregiver who has the personality, skills, and availability to best help you. If at any time or for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the match, we will gladly make the necessary changes.
How does my service begin?
Before services begin, we meet with you for a free in-home consultation and design a program together. Next, we carefully select and introduce a qualified caregiver who will deliver the services you have elected. Continuity of care is extremely important to us, so, whenever possible, you will see the same friendly face each visit. To get started, please fill out our request services form.
Do you provide services on nights and weekends?
Yes. We know seniors don’t only need services at certain times of the day. For this reason, our services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on an hourly basis, around-the-clock with multiple caregivers or as live-in care. Providing care when you need it is our commitment to you, therefore we will never charge you an after-hours or weekend surcharge.
What if I need to cancel a visit or cancel service?
We request that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel a visit or 48 hours prior to the start of a scheduled shift.
Do I have to use the services for a certain number of hours each day?
No. We have no minimum hour requirements. You can use our service for as little as one hour up to around the clock. We’re available for very specific tasks and for general companionship and household services.
Can I use your services at an assisted living facility or nursing home?
Yes. Sencura can provide a caregiver to help residents of these facilities when supplementary services or personalized care is needed. Our caregivers provide the extra attention that facilities are sometimes unable to provide, giving you peace of mind that needs are met.
Can I make changes to my scheduled visits?
Yes. Sencura understands that situations can change. We will always be flexible and accommodate your requests as quickly as possible.
Do you accept credit cards for payment?
Yes. Sencura accepts all major credit cards. If you would like to pay by credit card, just let us know and we will send your bill electronically. Sencura also accepts electronic bank checks and ACH transactions.
